LGBTQ* Infographics + Breakfast = Marriage Equality?
Blake Ink United takes on marriage equality with their newest info graphic.

Now imagine there is a homeless person living in front of both of your homes.
They can’t afford breakfast (and lunch & dinner for that matter).
They like a tall stack of pancakes with a side of bacon. Maybe they like some fried eggs and homefries as well. But they’re not happy and life isn’t good.
Yet you eat your breakfast while their stomach is empty and growling without offering, pretending that they’re invisible.
Now lets stop with the bullshit rhetorics. This infographic is shit. My sexual orientation isn’t like a fucking menu. And Black Ink United doesn’t give a shit about gay rights. They’re just appealing to gays so you can buy a $25, 15 by 23 poster of this crap graphic.
Want to help LGBTQ people? Nevermind marriage equality which is the forefront of gay rights and a multi-million dollar industry and focus of homeless youth or violence against trans* people.

Hmm I don’t think that really makes sense, you can advocate more than one thing at a time.

Sure you can but when was the last time a mainstream LGBTQ organization put homeless youth in front of marriage equality. Better yet, when was the last time you heard of a large campaign to take LGBTQ youth off the streets?
Here in NY, gay marriage has been legalized since 2011 and queer homelessness still hasn’t been addressed by large LGBTQ organizations. Instead, I see the HRC collecting donations to fund marriage equality bills outside of the state.
Fact of the matter is that the this invisible population (whom are disproportionately POC) receives close to no attention by the public and mainstream LGBTQ orgs, especially when compared to marriage equality. It’s time to start prioritizing our LGBTQ youth.

agreed!

hey guys, my girlfriend interns for this organization that does exactly what you are saying people don’t do enough of, they are small and deserve some attention. you should donate or volunteer if you can or want to. she gets up at 6:30 every morning to help homeless LGBTQ youth get GEDs, IDs and into housing programs and stuff, she’s awesome.

goodbye friends i am gone

This person thinks evolution works like Pokemon. I AM NEVER TALKING TO ANYONE AGAIN.

oh no, that’s next level ignorant. man, read a book.

I would like to amend what i just said, read some books about evolution that were written by renowned biologists or anthropologists, like maybe, “the selfish gene” by Richard Dawkins. (also, It’s spelled “Evolutionists”)
ALSO, to answer your question, internet stranger. we have common ancestors with monkeys and Apes, we both diverged from a similar mammal quite a while ago and evolved separately. Australopithecus afarensis, look it up, there are lots more.
